Youth competition “Create your own NEBULA model” – applications until January 31, 2025

We invite young people aged 18-25 to participate in the international competition “Create your own NEBULA model”. This is a unique opportunity to share your ideas for the revitalization of local communities in the spirit of the principles of the New European Bauhaus: sustainability, accessibility, aesthetics and inclusion.

We are looking for innovative projects that are in line with the NEBULA principles:

  • Sustainability: Environmentally friendly and resource-saving solutions.
  • Accessibility: Integrative projects that are accessible to everyone.
  • Aesthetics: Beautiful and inspiring spaces.
  • Inclusion: Projects that support social integration and community involvement.

Competition objectives:

  • Identification and support of innovative revitalization projects for cities and rural areas.
  • Development of cooperation, communication and creative thinking skills among young people.
  • Promotion of the practical use of multimedia and ICT tools.

Who can participate?

  • Teams of 2 to 4 people.
  • Participants from one school, organization or independent group.

Competition task:

Create a revitalization project for your local community. The work should include, among other things, a detailed description of the idea, its goals, schedule and estimated budget. An additional element is a short film or multimedia presentation (1-4 minutes) presenting your project.

Schedule:

  • Applications are accepted until January 31, 2025.
  • The results will be announced by February 15, 2025.

Prizes:

  • 1st place: a voucher worth PLN 800 for education and implementation of ideas + diplomas for participants.
  • 2nd place: a voucher worth PLN 500 for education and implementation of ideas + diplomas for participants.
  • 3rd place: a voucher worth PLN 300 for education and implementation of ideas + diplomas for participants.
  • Special prize: training for the school/institution of the winning team (if the participants were registered by a school).

More information about the NEBULA project:

NEBULA is a project implemented under the Erasmus+ program, which aims to draw on the idea of ​​the New European Bauhaus (NEB), supported by the European Commission. It focuses on a new business model and territorial revitalization based on sustainable development, accessibility, aesthetics and integration. This project aims to encourage young people to look at rural, urban and local areas in a new light, to revitalize them and create socio-economic value by using and improving entrepreneurial skills.

The project has developed so far:

“A handbook of good practices and those to avoid” addressed to young people, aspiring entrepreneurs – aimed at equipping them with the necessary knowledge and inspiration to effectively run revitalization projects in their environment.

The Nebula e-learning platform containing a training program consisting of two parts: Nebula Skills for young entrepreneurs and NEBULA Methodology for people working with youth, as well as the MatchMaking tool allowing people with similar interests and aspirations to connect and associate.
