What challenges face women with migration experience who want to develop their own business in Poland?

As part of the Blossom Beyond Borders (BBB) ​​project, the FRAME Foundation, in collaboration with the Łódź Center for the Integration of Foreigners (ŁCIC) and the Koper Pomaga Foundation, organized the first Power-Up (Re)design session in Łódź. During the workshop, participants and experts discussed entrepreneurship, barriers, and the needs of women with migration experience.

During the workshop, participants shared their experiences and identified the most important challenges they face daily. These included:

language barriers,

complicated administrative procedures,

long wait times for official decisions,

limited access to financing,

the need to build networks of contacts and support.

At the same time, the meeting demonstrated the participants’ enormous potential – their determination, willingness to learn, and ability to utilize digital tools and provide mutual support. The discussions also highlighted the important role of openness in local communities and informal mentoring networks.

Consultations regarding the emerging Blossom Self-Assessment Tool were also a valuable element of the workshop. Participants emphasized that the tool should primarily help them discover strengths, identify areas for development, and identify available forms of support—rather than simply assessing their knowledge levels.
