Career Compass: Career Path Planning Training and Toolkit for People in Career Crossroads and Seeking Employment
Aim:
The aim of the Career Compass project is to support people at a career crossroads and seeking employment, especially in vulnerable groups (e.g. young adults, older people, women, refugees and migrants, and people with lower levels of education). The project involves the creation of a training programme and a set of tools for identifying career paths, competences and educational and professional opportunities.
Target groups
- (TG1): People in difficult professional situations, including young people at the beginning of their careers, older people, women, migrants, refugees and people with lower levels of education.
- (TG2): Trainers, career counsellors, representatives of employment services and educational institutions who will use the developed materials and tools in their work with TG1.
Results
- Framework training guide containing recommendations and good practices.
- Training programme and toolkit for identifying career paths and developing professional competences.
- User manuals for training participants and trainers, supporting both self-directed and trainer-led learning.
- Pilot implementation of the training and training of trainers in the use of the tools.
Added value
The project supports social integration by reducing professional exclusion and the risk of marginalisation of vulnerable groups. The use of a human-centered approach and design thinking allows tools to be adapted to the diverse needs of users. Promotional activities and digital accessibility of project results will contribute to their widespread use at local, national and international levels.
Planned activities
The project includes:
Training for trainers and career counsellors (TG2) to equip them with the skills to conduct training using the developed tools.
The aim of the pilot is not only to verify the usefulness of the materials, but also to build a group of professionals who will be able to use the results of the project in their daily work.
Testing the programme and training tools with representatives of the target group (TG1), which will allow for the assessment of their effectiveness and the introduction of possible improvements.
