BlossomBeyondBorders
In the face of the growing challenges faced by women with a migrant background in Europe – ranging from limited access to employment, through administrative difficulties and language barriers, to invisible stereotypes regarding gender and origin – innovative solutions are needed that genuinely empower them, enhance their skills and strengthen their presence in society.
At the same time, professionals working with migrants often lack the tools needed to effectively support women in building their careers, developing their entrepreneurial skills, and achieving social integration.
BlossomBeyondBorders addresses these challenges by combining innovative digital tools, education, experience-based narratives, and new models for working with migrant women. The project is based on the belief that every woman—regardless of her background and history—can thrive if she receives the right support, space, and opportunities for growth.
Project Objectives
The project focuses on empowering both migrant women and the professionals who work with them.
The main objectives of the project are:
- to strengthen the competencies of specialists (career counselors, trainers, mentors, employees of public institutions and civil society organizations) so that they can more effectively support migrant women in their professional and entrepreneurial development,
- to develop the competencies of migrant women, particularly in the areas of entrepreneurship, self-awareness, and the skills needed in today’s labor market,
- building empathy and social awareness by presenting the stories of migrant women, breaking down stereotypes, and promoting positive examples of success,
- creating sustainable models of international cooperation so that the developed tools and methods can continue to be used after the project concludes.
Target groups
The project is aimed at several key groups:
- women with migration backgrounds who are at various stages of social and professional integration,
- professionals working with migrants, such as counselors, trainers, NGO staff, and public sector employees,
- local communities and institutions supporting migrant integration,
- policy makers and academic circles, who can use the project’s results to develop policies and practices that support integration.
Main project outcomes
The project will produce four key outputs:
- Blossom Self-Assessment Tool
a self-assessment tool designed with the experiences and needs of migrant women in mind, supporting the development of their competencies and career path planning. - Gamified educational tools
interactive materials supporting the development of entrepreneurship and professional competencies among migrant women. - Digital Museum & storytelling
a collection of migrant women’s success stories—in the form of podcasts, narratives, and a digital gallery of inspiring experiences of migrant women entrepreneurs. - Capacity-building activities
training programs and workshops designed to strengthen the competencies of both professionals working with migrants and migrant women themselves.
Added value
BlossomBeyondBorders is an initiative that not only supports the professional development of women with a migrant background, but also boosts their self-confidence and empowerment. The project also provides professionals with practical tools for working with migrant women.
In this way, it helps to build more open, inclusive and empathetic communities, where diversity becomes a source of strength and growth.
Planned activities
The project will include, among other things:
- co-creation workshops,
- the development of digital tools and educational materials,
- pilot programs involving migrant women and professionals,
- the collection and publication of inspiring stories,
- działania komunikacyjne oraz wydarzenia upowszechniające rezultaty projektu.
