Our team is participating in the international LTTA training in Santa Maria di Leuca as part of the ReligiTour project. We have completed intensive days that combined educational, cultural, and spiritual dimensions.
September 1st – official opening and presentation of the ReligiTour project. We met with local partners and institutional representatives and then visited the unique sites of Leuca: the historic center, the monumental waterfall that closes the Apulian Aqueduct, the Punta Ristola Promontory, and the Basilica of Santa Maria de Finibus Terrae. The day concluded with a gala dinner featuring local flavors. ![]()
September 2nd – time for the first presentations of the project’s results: textbooks and educational materials on religious tourism and the integration of sacred heritage. In the afternoon, we set off on a trip to Galatina and Lecce – the city known as the “Florence of the South.” We admired the frescoes in St. Catherine’s Basilica, the legendary Chapel of St. Paul, and the Baroque gems of Lecce, such as the Basilica of Santa Croce and the cathedral in Piazza del Duomo.
This is just the beginning of our Italian adventure! ![]()
More study visits and workshops await us in the coming days.
