First international meeting of ReligiTour project partners
At the beginning of this week, we participated in the first international meeting of partners of the ReligiTour project in Athens.
The project aims to increase the practical skills and knowledge of academics so that they can effectively support the socialization, integration and proper management of religious heritage. With the involvement of nine partners, the project addresses the shortage of qualified heritage and tourism management professionals capable of promoting and protecting religious heritage in urban and suburban settings.
During the meeting, we discussed all organizational issues concerning the project and agreed on the first steps in the implementation of the project’s first result, which will be the ReligiTour Methodological Framework. Focus groups and interviews with experts will soon be conducted in each partner country. The results will allow us to best match the planned results with the actual needs of university staff.
We will provide more information soon. Stay tuned
