First international meeting of DEAP project partners in Palermo

On 5-6 February we had the opportunity to meet in sunny Palermo at the first meeting of the DEAP project partners – Supporting Personal Development and Empowering Young People with Visual Disabilities through Artistic Education.

These were two extremely effective days, during which we worked out a detailed plan of activities for the coming months. We focused primarily on organizing local conferences to launch the project and preparing for the first international training for educators working with disabled youth from partner countries.

The aim of these trainings is to equip participants with key competences, modern didactic methods and tools supporting artistic education programs for young people with visual disabilities. We will work with ceramics, contact dance and theatre to strengthen:

personal development,

creative expression,

active participation in culture and art.
