Career Compass project team online meeting
On November 18th, the Career Compass project team held another online meeting, during which we focused primarily on two key project outcomes: the Career Compass Framework and the Framework Guide โ the foundations of future training and a toolkit for adults facing career transitions.
Career Compass Framework โ What is it about?
The Framework is an eight-element career development map that helps users view their careers holistically and systematically. It covers key areas such as:
Who am I? โ identity, values, and experiences
What do I know? โ formal and informal knowledge
What can I do? โ competencies and skills
What blocks me? โ barriers and challenges
What are my options? โ future paths and options
Who can help me? โ mentors and support networks
How do I learn best? โ learning styles and preferences
How can I develop? โ lifelong learning
This visual and reflective tool guides users step by step from self-awareness, through resource analysis, to realistic career planning.
Framework Guide โ From Research to Practice
During the meeting, the partners also discussed finalizing the Framework Guide, a guide that:
combines research and analysis results from four countries (PL, FI, GR, ES),
compares over 20 European and national methodologies in the field of counseling,
presents a human-centered and designer-thinking approach,
offers specific guidance on how to apply the Framework in work with adults,
serves as a basis for developing training modules and a Toolkit.
Testing with Two Target Groups
At the meeting, we also summarized the ongoing testing phase, which involves:
people in a professional transition situation (including job seekers, NEETs, migrants, and women returning to the labor market),
professionals โ counselors, trainers, and educators.
Participants shared their opinions through surveys, workshops, online sessions, and working with the Framework’s visual materials. Their voices will be crucial in the final refinement of the tools.
